Our History

From a single rig to a trusted Appalachian Basin well service leader — our journey since 2005.

2005 — Founded

Apache Well Service LLC established in Smicksburg, PA with one workover rig and a commitment to safety and quality that remains our foundation today.

2009 — Fleet Expansion

Added second workover rig and completion rig to meet growing demand from Marcellus Shale operators. Crew expanded to 15 employees.

2013 — Pumping Services Launch

Launched dedicated pumping services division with high-pressure frac and cementing equipment. Added 12 employees and 4 pumping units.

2017 — Safety Milestone

Achieved 1 million man-hours without a lost-time incident. Recognized by industry safety organizations for exemplary performance.

2021 — Production Optimization

Added production optimization division with data analytics capabilities. Cross-trained existing crews in diagnostic and optimization techniques.

2026 — Today

Over 500 wells serviced, 40+ employees across six service lines, 99% safety record. Still family-owned, still based in Smicksburg, PA.
